Rory Conlon                        Drum Sergeant
Rory Conlon is the Drum Sergeant with the Clew Bay Pipe Band and leads the drum corps of seven snare drummers.  Rory is only 16 years old and encouraged by his father Noel who had only started learning the pipes, began drumming when he was 14 under the instruction of Owen McNamara.  Rory has a keen interest in snare drumming and has watched the Clew Bay Pipe Band grow from its origin to the successful musical group it has become to date.  Rory shares his new found love for this percussion instrument with the youth in the community and teaches the art of snare drumming to primary school students at Carrowholly NS with his fellow percussionist and good friend Cian McKenna.  Rory has found the experience of drumming and being involved in the Clew Bay Pipe Band extremely rewarding and  takes huge pride in his work and in the band.
